SASC is an NGO committed to the conservation and sustainable use of living marine resources. We conduct ecosystem-based research to understand sharks and their habitats for conservation and management purposes.
ABOUT OUR FIELD WORK
The majority of our research is field-based, meaning our team spends most of our time on boats, fishing from the shore, underwater, and generally out-and-about. Weather permitting, we spend up to 17 days per month - and sometimes more (!) - in the field where we continue to gather data to support on ongoing research projects.
